The Alliance scheme has been a driving force in shared performance and growth and can now be further accelerated thanks to agile operational projects with high value creation.
For example, for the Indian domestic market and export, Renault Group and Nissan will collaborate on several new vehicle projects, including 4 new SUVs, and a new Nissan car derived from Renault Triber, which will complement the existing line on the A platform.
In Europe, Mitsubishi Motors has reinforced its presence with the ASX and COLT models, developed and manufactured by Renault and marketed in Mitsubishi Motors network. They are based on the CMF-B platform (which already carries Clio & Captur); this cooperation is extended to the Mitsubishi Grandis (3rd quarter of 2025).
In the field of electric vehicles, Ampere, the Renault Group entity dedicated to electric vehicles and software, will develop and manufacture the first-ever C-segment electric SUV for Mitsubishi Motors, which will market it under its brand under the name of Eclipse Cross (End of 2025).
Nissan has entrusted the development and the manufacturing (in France from 2026) of its future compact electric vehicle to Ampere, based on the CMF-BEV platform.
Nissan will also entrust Ampere with the development of its next A-segment electric vehicle.
All these projects are therefore in line with the successes and initiatives already launched, which they confirm and complement. The common platform for the C and D segments carries Renault Austral, Rafale and Espace, Nissan Qashqai, Rogue and X-Trail, Mitsubishi Outlander. All these cars are now on the market and have benefited from the “smart differentiation” logic developed by Renault Group, Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors. This logic guarantees, for each vehicle, the necessary level of specificities (design, features, brand identifiers, etc.) while defining the desired sharing concerning platforms, plants, powertrains, to generate economies of scale.
Also in Europe, the scope of collaboration between the three Companies already extends beyond the vehicle itself. For example, for years, Renault Group and Nissan have been capitalizing on Mobilize’s strong presence in Europe, both in network financing and that of customers, but also in insurance and services.
